MRPOA is now the Official Bargaining Unit representing Rangers

The Midpeninsula Rangers Peace Officers Association (MRPOA) is now the official bargaining unit representing Rangers of Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (MROSD). The Rangers, Lead Rangers, and Supervising Rangers of the District voted to form their own bargaining unit and was recognized by the MROSD as the official Bargaining Unit for those classifications at their Jun 9th, 2021 board meeting.

Prior to the MRPOA’s recognition as their bargaining unit, the Rangers and Lead Rangers were represented by the MROSD’s Field Employees Association (FEA). The Supervising Rangers were unrepresented along with other Command Staff and MROSD management. When recognized, the MRPOA represented 26 members. With MRPOA now the official representation, one of their first tasks will be to negotiate a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the MROSD as the recognized MOU from when under the FEA, expired on June 1st, 2021.
